Video Submission Guidelines
Participants must upload their performance videos to the competition section of the online teaching centre by 15th May. The submitted video must be specifically recorded for this competition and cannot contain any other violin performance audio. No video editing is allowed; otherwise, the participant will be disqualified.
When recording, the participant should face the camera, and the video should clearly show the movements of both hands and the player's posture, ideally capturing the full body. If using the piano accompaniment provided by the website, only the pure piano audio file should be used, with no violin performance included. The video must feature the participant's own authentic performance. If any violin performance from another person is detected in the video, the submission will not be scored and will only receive a participation certificate.
Participants may use a phone or camera to record the video. It is recommended to upload the video in MP4 format, with a file size not exceeding 300MB (recommended range: 100MB - 200MB). Participants can log into the online teaching center, go to the registration page, and click the upload button to submit the video. After uploading, the video will undergo manual review on the server. Parents can log in later to check the video. If the video does not play properly, please re-upload it.
Recording Requirements:
- Please place your phone or camera on a tripod to avoid shaking.
- The background should be as simple as possible, avoiding backlighting, and do not film against a window.
- The camera height should be level with the violin, avoiding too high or too low angles.
- Please use landscape mode for filming, not portrait mode.
- Ensure that the bowing direction faces the camera lens, so the judges can clearly observe the bowing technique and hand gestures.
- The accompaniment volume should be moderate, neither too quiet nor too loud, ensuring that the violin performance is clear and distinguishable.
- Adjust the camera angle so that the background's horizontal and vertical lines remain balanced, avoiding a slanted image.
Participants may refer to the following video as a recording standard.
